At present online casinos are experiencing both fast growing and huge competition to one another. Referring to the history of online gambling, one may say that the industry has been developing exponentially since the early 90s. Naturally, the growth in the following years is much awaited as the audience continues to beg for more. But as one knows the rates of development are strictly determined by the laws and regulations of each particular country.
Nine US stages push for online gambling legalization
It is known that nine US states (New York, Indiana, California, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Connecticut and Rhode Island) have been standing for online gambling legalization for quite a while. Current state of affairs is that they have a true chance to gain point in the year 2017.
New York is the closest to passing the online poker bill. It has already passed the state senate but got ‘stuck’ in the assembly.
Michigan is still looking forward to passing their bill by the end of a current year. State Senator, Mike Kowall considers that the most convenient time to pass the bill is after elections in November.
As to the other seven states, they are involved in strong gambling competition as well and will undoubtedly do all necessary to keep up with rest.
UK free bet tax may reach online casinos
As it turned out, the bingo rooms and online casinos in might have to pay an additional 15% free bet tax in 2017. The duty was revealed by the chancellor George Osborne in March this year. The tax will put online casinos in one row with the sports betting sites that have been already paying it for some time.
Online gambling remains the subject of a raised interest
As far as we see, online gambling has grown into subject of interest of the leading countries. In some places it’s given the green light, in others it gets additional limitations. But either way, the topic is up for discussion as one can’t neglect such a huge source of financial income.
